Jawline and chin filler: how much, how many ml, how long? Definition that suits you

Face contouring at Mirabell Aesthetics in Clondalkin, Dublin 22

You notice it most in side photos. The jawline that used to be sharp now blends into your neck, or your chin sits back a little and your profile feels unbalanced. Contouring filler can change that, subtly, if it is planned well. Here is what it costs, how much you need and how long it lasts.

How much does jawline and chin filler cost in Dublin?

Dublin clinics usually price contouring per ml of filler. One city centre skin clinic lists 1ml at €420 and 5ml at €1,650 (checked October 2026). Prices vary widely, so compare the amount of filler, not just the headline price.

At Mirabell, prices are per amount, live from our booking system:

    AreaUsual amountFrom
    Chin1ml€200
    Jawline2ml€400
    Cheeks2ml€400
Full face (cheeks, chin and jaw planned together)5ml€800

Want both jaw and chin? They are often planned together, and we talk you through the amounts at your free consultation.

How many ml do you need?

    • Chin: about 1ml balances a chin that sits back, and connects chin, lips and jaw.
    • Jawline: most women need about 2ml for a visible but natural change. Some need more, over two appointments.
    • Full face: 5ml lets us plan cheeks, chin and jaw together for balance.

A good practitioner looks at your face from the front and the side, not at a number. If less is better for you, we will say so. Building definition over two visits looks more natural than doing everything at once.

How long does jawline and chin filler last?

Typically 9 to 15 months. It depends on the area, your metabolism and your lifestyle. So when you compare prices, think in cost per year, not cost per visit.

If you want a longer, gradual result instead of instant shape, ask about collagen-stimulating treatments: Radiesse, from €500, adds structure on the day plus gradual support for firmer-looking skin, and PLLA, from €400, gives no instant volume but helps your skin build collagen over a course. Both are on our face contouring page.

    What does treatment feel like?

Most clients feel pressure and some tenderness. Numbing cream goes on first, and the filler is placed slowly, checking balance from the front and the side. It takes 30 to 60 minutes, and you see the shape straight away.

    What is the downtime?

Mild swelling and tenderness for 2 to 7 days, sometimes bruising. Book at least two weeks before a wedding, holiday or big event.

Aftercare: no make-up on the area for 12 to 24 hours, no alcohol, saunas, hot yoga or hard workouts for 24 to 48 hours, sleep on your back for the first two nights if you can, and no facials, facial massage or dental work for two weeks. Any unusual pain, colour change or whitening of the skin: call us straight away on +353 85 186 5581.

    Will it look natural?

That is the aim. We build definition gradually and keep your proportions. Definition that suits your face, never a heavy look. If something would not suit you, we will tell you, kindly and clearly.

What should you ask before you book?

    • Who will treat me, and what training and experience do they have?
    • How many ml do you recommend for me, and why?
    • Which product do you use, and where does it come from?
    • What happens if I have a problem afterwards?
    • Is a review included?

    Who should wait?

Not right now if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an infection, cold sore or skin flare in the area, have dental treatment in the next two weeks, or have a known allergy to hyaluronic acid filler. Tell us about blood thinners, a bleeding disorder or an autoimmune condition, as you may need your doctor's advice first.

See every option and live price on our face contouring page, or every face treatment. Your 10-minute consultation is free and there is no pressure to book.

This guide is general information, not medical advice. Prices for other clinics were checked in October 2026 and may have changed. Results vary from person to person.
