Mirabell Academy terms
Last updated
These terms apply to every in-person course and online course from Mirabell Academy, part of MIRABELL COSMETOLOGY LIMITED, trading as Mirabell Aesthetics and Mirabell Academy, Dolcan House, 78/80 Tower Road, Clondalkin, Dublin, D22 N6F6. Phone +353 85 186 5581. Email hello@mirabellaesthetics.ie.
You are asked to read and accept these terms before you pay anything.
Before you book
- Each course page and your course offer show: the entry requirements, the dates and hours, the price, the deposit, what is included (for example the course manual, refreshments, models) and what costs extra (for example some kits, all devices, and any products you buy for later use).
- Training is 1 to 1 or in a small group of 2 to 3. Every place we hold is a place we cannot offer to someone else.
- Before we take payment you confirm in writing that you meet the entry requirements and send any proof we ask for (for example qualifications, photo ID).
- Injectables courses (for example lip filler, contouring, skin boosters) are only for applicants who meet the stated medical, training or experience requirements, and are subject to checks.
- Courses are taught in English.
Deposit and payment
- A deposit of €300 reserves your date. Your date is only held once the deposit is paid.
- The deposit counts towards your course fee. It is not an extra charge.
- The balance is due 14 days before the course starts, unless we agree a payment plan in writing. If the balance is not paid on time, we remind you, and if it is still not paid 7 days before the course, we may release your place and section 5 applies.
- Prices include VAT where it applies.
Business or consumer
Many students train to start or grow a business. We ask you at enrolment whether you are booking as a consumer (for yourself) or as a business (for example a salon, or a self-employed practitioner buying training for her practice). The 14-day cooling-off right in section 4 is a consumer right. If you book as a business, it does not apply, but every other part of these terms does.
Your 14-day right to change your mind
- If you book online, by phone, email or message, you can cancel within 14 days of booking for any reason, and we refund everything, including the deposit, within 14 days.
- Bookings made in person at the academy get the same 14 days from us, as a goodwill promise.
- If you ask us to start your course within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay only for the part already delivered. If the whole course is delivered within the 14 days at your request, the right ends once it is complete.
- To cancel, email hello@mirabellaesthetics.ie, message us, use the Cancel contract here page on our website, or use the cancellation form at the end of our Booking Policy.
If you cancel after the 14 days
Your course day is blocked for you, and with groups of 1 to 3 we usually cannot fill it at short notice.
| When you cancel | What happens |
|---|---|
| More than 28 days before the course | We keep your deposit and refund anything paid above it. Or choose a free transfer (section 6) and your deposit moves with you. |
| 28 days or less before the course | We keep your deposit. We refund anything paid above it, unless we cannot fill your place, in which case we may keep up to 50% of the course fee in total |
| You do not attend | We keep your deposit and the balance |
If we fill your place, we refund everything you paid above the deposit, whatever the notice. Kits or materials already given to you, or ordered only for you, are charged at cost.
Moving your date
- You can move your course once, free of charge, with at least 21 days' notice. Your payments move with you. The new date must be within 6 months.
- A second transfer, or one with less notice, is at our discretion and may need a new deposit.
- Serious illness or a family emergency: tell us as soon as you can and we will offer a transfer even at short notice. We may ask for reasonable evidence.
Entry requirements and wrong information
- If, after you pay, it turns out you do not meet entry requirements that were clearly stated to you before you paid, because information you gave us was incomplete or wrong, or because you did not send the proof we asked for at least 14 days before the course, we cancel your place. Outside your 14-day cooling-off period, we keep your deposit to cover the day we blocked for you, and refund anything you paid above it.
- Where we can, we offer you a transfer to a course that suits your experience instead, with your deposit moved across.
- If we had the information before taking your payment and still accepted you, or if we change the entry requirements after you booked, we refund everything.
If we cancel or change your course
- If we have to cancel or move your course (for example because the trainer is ill), you choose: a new date, or a full refund of everything you paid, within 14 days.
- We may make small changes to the course content to keep it current and safe. If a change is significant, you can cancel for a full refund.
- We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs, unless the law says otherwise. Please book refundable travel.
Kits, products and devices
- What is included is listed in your course offer. Kits, products and devices that are not listed cost extra.
- Devices are always sold separately.
- Kits and products are yours once issued and cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty.
- We do not supply prescription-only medicines. Any medicine needed for your future practice must be prescribed and supplied lawfully by a registered prescriber, and that is your responsibility.
Training models
- You can bring your own models, or we can provide them. Models we provide cannot be guaranteed for every date.
- Every model is screened by us first and must accept our Training Model Terms. We decide if a model is suitable. If a model is not suitable or does not attend, we do our best to find another; we cannot guarantee it, and it is not a cancellation by us.
- Every model treatment is photographed or filmed for training and assessment. Please tell your models this before the day. A model can refuse, but then the treatment cannot go ahead.
- The touch-up for semi-permanent makeup models is not part of the course.
-
On the day: attendance and conduct
- Please arrive on time. If you are more than 60 minutes late, we may not be able to complete the course that day. You must attend all course hours to be assessed. Missed hours can be made up on another day at our discretion and may cost extra.
- Follow the hygiene, health and safety rules you are taught, and the instructions of your trainer at all times. You only treat models when your trainer allows it and under supervision.
- We may stop a treatment, or ask a student to leave, if their conduct puts a model, client or another student at risk, or if they are abusive, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If this happens, we keep the course fee for the part delivered and discuss fairly what is owed for the rest, in line with section 5.
- Refreshments: tea, coffee and water are on us. Lunch can be arranged at extra cost.
- Please tell us before the course about any health condition, pregnancy or allergy that could affect your safety during practical work.
Assessment and certificate
- You receive a Mirabell Academy certificate of completion after you pass a written and a practical assessment.
- If you do not pass, we tell you why and offer one reassessment free of charge within 3 months. The price of any further reassessment is confirmed in writing before you book it.
- Not passing the assessment is not a reason for a refund.
- A certificate of completion is not a state licence or a regulated qualification, unless the course page says that a course is accredited by a named body.
- It is your responsibility to meet registration and legal requirements where you work, including any rules on prescription medicines and who may carry out a treatment.
Course materials and our intellectual property
- Manuals, slides, videos, templates and all course materials belong to Mirabell Academy. They are licensed to you for your personal learning only.
- You may not copy, share, sell, publish, upload to AI tools, or teach from them, or record any part of the course, without our written permission.
- Misuse may lead to your access being removed and a claim for our loss.
Photos and videos during training
- We photograph and film practical work for assessment and training records. This is part of the course.
- We only use photos or videos that show you publicly (website, social media, adverts) with your separate written consent, which you can refuse or withdraw at any time.
- You may photograph your own work for your portfolio, but not other students, models or our materials without their and our consent.
Online courses
- Online courses are short theory courses and e-books (for example hygiene, basics, pricing your work). They are digital content, and the course page states what is included, how long you have access, and the price.
- Cooling-off: you can cancel within 14 days of buying, unless you have started the course. When you buy, we ask you to agree that access starts straight away and to confirm you understand that you lose your right to cancel once access starts. We confirm this by email.
- Access is personal; logins cannot be shared.
- If the course does not work as described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022: we fix it, and if we cannot, we reduce the price or refund.
- Online course certificates show that the course is theory only.
Mirabell Circle
Graduates of in-person courses join Mirabell Circle. Its benefits and conditions are shown on the Mirabell Circle page. One benefit per booking. Benefits cannot be combined with other offers and have no cash value, except the referral cash reward. We may change or end benefits with reasonable notice; benefits already earned are honoured.
Our responsibility
- We teach with reasonable care and skill.
- We are not responsible for how you use what you learn after the course, for treatments you carry out yourself, or for business losses.
- Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your information
We handle your information as set out in our Privacy Policy, including ID and qualification checks and the certificate register.
Complaints and law
- Tell your trainer or email hello@mirabellaesthetics.ie. We acknowledge within 3 working days and reply in full within 14 days.
- If you are not satisfied, ask for a review by the owner, who replies within 14 more days.
- You can also contact the CCPC (ccpc.ie) or use the Small Claims procedure.
These terms are governed by Irish law.
