I'm shook
I got micro needling and radio frequency there, within a few days I could see my skin texture and tightness improve, I'm shook at the results!! Not to mention she's a lovely person and so professional, can't wait to book my next treatment in.

What is microneedling? Your skin does the work.
Microneedling uses a pen with very fine needles to make tiny, controlled channels in the skin. Your skin responds by renewing itself, which over a course can make texture smoother, pores look smaller and acne scars look softer. The channels also help serums applied on top work better, which is why we can add exosome or Medik8 serums to the treatment.
Is microneedling right for you? For texture, not just glow.
You'll love it if
- You see acne scars or pitted texture every time you put on foundation.
- Your pores look bigger than they used to.
- Your skin feels rough or uneven, and facials only help for a week.
- You want firmer-looking skin, or softer-looking stretch marks (RF body).
Not right now if
- You have active acne, an infection, a cold sore or eczema in the area.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have taken isotretinoin in the last 6 months.
- You form keloid scars, or you take blood thinners: tell us at consultation.
- RF only: you have a pacemaker or metal implants in the area.
- Exo-PDRN serum only: you have a fish or seafood allergy. PDRN comes from purified fish DNA (usually salmon), so tell us about any allergy at consultation.
Not sure? Your 10-minute consultation is free and there is no pressure to book. This is general guidance, not medical advice.
Help me choose4 quick taps, matched to youMicroneedling or RF microneedling? Same idea, different depth.
Classic microneedling works on the surface layers: it is the gentler start for texture, pores and glow. RF microneedling adds radiofrequency heat through the needles, deeper in the skin. That makes it the stronger choice for acne scars and skin that has started to lose firmness, with a little more redness afterwards. Many women start with classic microneedling and move to RF later. We recommend one at your consultation.

Step 1 of 7
Consultation
We look at your skin, your goals and your health history, and pick the right option.
Your plan
Number of sessions and spacing agreed upfront, with clear course prices.
Cleanse and numbing
Your skin is cleansed and numbing cream goes on for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Treatment
The pen glides over the skin. You feel light vibration and some scratching; RF adds short bursts of warmth.
Serum
If your option includes exosome or Medik8 serum, it is applied to the skin during and straight after.
Straight after
Skin looks pink, like mild sunburn, and feels tight. A soothing mask or balm finishes the session.
Next session
Usually 4 to 6 weeks later. Results build for weeks after each session.
Before and after microneedling A little prep, an easy recovery.
Before your appointment
- Avoid: No sunburn, sunbeds or fake tan on the area.
- Avoid: No waxing, threading, hair removal cream or laser hair removal on the area.
- Avoid: Stop retinol, retinal, exfoliating acids and scrubs.
- Do: If you get cold sores and we are treating near your mouth, ask your GP or pharmacist about antiviral cover.
- Do: Come make-up free, and leave jewellery at home if you are having RF.

Microneedling questions Straight answers, before you book.
How much is microneedling in Ireland?
At Mirabell, microneedling starts from €120 per session and RF microneedling from €170. Course prices are shown above.
Microneedling or RF microneedling: which is better?
Neither is better, they do different jobs. Classic microneedling suits texture, pores and glow. RF adds heat deeper in the skin, so it suits acne scars and firmness. We recommend one at consultation.
How many microneedling sessions do I need?
Usually 3 to 6 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on your skin and goal. Acne scars usually need more than glow.
What is the downtime after microneedling?
Skin is pink for 1 to 3 days, sometimes a little longer after RF. No make-up for 24 hours. Most women go back to work the next day.
Does microneedling help acne scars?
It can soften the look of many acne scars over a course, especially RF microneedling. Deep scars improve but rarely disappear, and we will tell you honestly what to expect.
Does microneedling hurt?
Numbing cream keeps it comfortable. Most clients feel vibration and light scratching. Bony areas such as the forehead feel strongest.
Are the exosomes injected?
No. At Mirabell, exosome and Medik8 serums are applied to the skin during microneedling, never injected.
