    • I'm shook

I got micro needling and radio frequency there, within a few days I could see my skin texture and tightness improve, I'm shook at the results!! Not to mention she's a lovely person and so professional, can't wait to book my next treatment in.

A little prep, an easy recovery.

What is a hydrofacial? Cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate. In one go.

A hydrofacial is a multi-step facial that uses water-based suction to lift dirt, oil and dead skin from your pores, then floods the skin with hydrating serums. It is gentle, there is no peeling, and your skin looks brighter as soon as you sit up. We use a professional hydradermabrasion system.

Is a hydrofacial right for you? For skin that needs a reset.

    You'll love it if

    • Your skin looks dull, grey or tired.
    • Your pores feel clogged and make-up never sits right.
    • Your skin feels tight or dry, even with a good moisturiser.
    • You have an event this week and no time for downtime.

    Not right now if

    • You are pregnant.
    • You have sunburn, broken skin or an active cold sore.
    • You have active, inflamed acne. Ask about the Acne Therapy Facial instead.
    • You have used retinoids (retinol, retinal or prescription creams) in the last 2 to 3 days, or had a chemical peel, microneedling or laser in the last 2 weeks.
    • You have taken isotretinoin (for acne) in the last 6 months.
    • You need deeper correction of pigmentation or scars. A peel or microneedling will do more.

General guidance, not medical advice. We check your skin and health history first.

Hydrofacial or chemical peel? Upkeep or correction.

A hydrofacial is gentle upkeep: it cleans, hydrates and brightens with no downtime, so it is perfect monthly or before an event. A chemical peel goes further to treat pigmentation, acne marks and uneven texture, and some peels flake for a few days. Many women do both, a hydrofacial in between peels. Compare them on our chemical peels page.

Hydrofacial questions Straight answers, before you book.

How much is a hydrofacial in Dublin?

At Mirabell, a hydrofacial starts from €100. In Dublin, prices usually range from about €75 to €170 per session.

    Is a hydrofacial worth it?

For a fast, visible glow with no downtime, yes. It cleans pores, hydrates and brightens. It will not remove deep scars or strong pigmentation. For those, ask about peels or microneedling.

Is your hydrofacial a branded machine treatment?

No. Some clinics use one trademarked machine. Mirabell's hydrofacial is a hydradermabrasion facial on a professional system, with the same steps: cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate.

Hydrofacial or chemical peel: which should I choose?

A hydrofacial is gentle upkeep with no downtime. A chemical peel treats pigmentation, acne marks and texture more deeply. Many women book a hydrofacial between peels.

    Does a hydrofacial hurt?

No. Most clients find it relaxing. The suction feels like a cool, gentle pull.

How often should I have a hydrofacial?

Every 4 to 6 weeks keeps the results going. Before an event, book it 2 to 3 days ahead.

Can I have a hydrofacial while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Not during pregnancy: we do not treat pregnant clients. While breastfeeding, a gentle hydrofacial without acids or peel steps is possible, so tell us when you book. If in doubt, check with your midwife or GP.

I use retinol or had a peel. When can I book?

As a general guide, stop retinoids 2 to 3 days before, and wait about 2 weeks after a chemical peel, microneedling or laser.
